Youth Council Welcomes New Volunteers and Youth to come participate in the Midnight Madness Festival

Philosophy

Our philosophy is grounded in the belief that youth benefit most from an inclusive community where all youth are valued and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Mission

We are committed to educating youth on various topics and issues of youth interest through positive dialogue and discussion that will build developmental assets, and develop valuable skills that allow youth to be successful in a diverse community.

Goals

  1. Motivate youth to discover and use their talents.
  2. Promote an inclusive youth strategy that encourages a sense of community and civic participation.

Objectives

  1. Acquire tools to strengthen leadership and civic participation skills.
  2. Develop a positive sense of identity in a fun atmosphere.
  3. Promote diversity and acceptance.
  4. Encourage the recruitment of council volunteers in a friendly and safe environment.
  5. Gain required community volunteer hours towards high school graduation.
  6. Advocate for youth issues and concerns in the community.
